Frosthaven is a very big game. It has a shipping weight of over 30 Lbs. The game has 27 punchboards that contain tokens, tile overlays, map tiles, character standees, and other game components. This required a four-tray system. The bottom two trays are pretty straightforward from a design perspective. It is the top two nested trays that posed the greatest challenge. The trays had to store a variety of tile overlays and all of the gameplay tokens. Additionally, they had to nest inside each other during shipping because the 27 punchboards took up so much space in the box, that the trays could not sit on top of each other.
All of the components that had to be accounted for in the insert
Tray 3 mainly hold tile overlays
Tray 4 holds treasures, status tokens, and hit point markers
The two trays nest so they can be shipped without being damaged
The default box organization looks so fantastic that it's making me regret backing an insert.
That is a much better insert than what Gloomhaven has. I'm impressed and like it so far.
We love the default trays and how they fit into each other. Awesome job!
