DESIGN OVERVIEW

Key Design Features

Machina Arcana is another big game. It required a 4 tray system. The bottom tray held all of the cards for the base game and all of the expansions. The tray also accommodated sleeves.

All four of the trays as shown in a KS update

A lot of the tokens are stored in this tray. They are the ones that players will most need during the game, so the tray can be easily taken out.

Un sleeved card approach

Un sleeved card approach

Some have expressed concerns with un-sleeved cards sliding between the well ridges and getting damaged. If this is a concern, the easiest way to address this problem is to take cardboard or an index card and cut out separators that will hold the deck in place.

Received my game today (germany). Everything complete and really good quality. And the inlay is really great.

Just few words Juraj to mention the great quality of the French version, such a great job and also to tell you the game insert is so amazing, congrats to all of those who worked with you to deliver one of my favorite all time games.

@Matt Healey it shows that a lot of work have been put in it and I'm glad you did. Its rare to see a boardgame with such a great insert

Kudos to the insert designer, these have plenty of room for sleeves and seem genuinely practical, thanks for that!

Design Files

  • The MA 3D Print file contains STL files with all of the trays. It is a good starting point for a 3D print but will need to be checked and modified for your 3D printer. Keep in mind that designing for Vac Formed plastic and 3D printing are different processes.
  • The MA 3D Print SketchUp contains the SketchUp files that correspond to the 3D print files.
  • The MA 3D Print -2_v4 contains the STL file for the long standee tray that will fit the lid. It was created by Chris (@ronin4740)
  • The Token contains an STL file for the token tray that was created by Jamie (BGG @PengLord). I am including it here because according to Jamie, the lid fits this tray loosely. I have not checked the file so I can not verify that.
  • MA_dividers is a PDF that Eric Backstrom (BGG @imnntt) Created. It is fantastic.
